Rudbeckia hirta (Black Eyed Susan Sahara) | 4" pot
Rudbeckia hirta (black eyed susan Sahara) are not your typical daisies. Instead of whites and yellows, Sahara blooms emerge in warm hues of caramel, antique rose, burnt sienna or sandy yellow; each flaunt a large chocolate drop center.
Better yet, they are long blooming perennials that give you a beautiful display from mid-summer to the fall. Leave some spent flowers to allow self-seeding.
What do they need to thrive?
Saharas love average, well-drained soil and full sun. They are not fussy and will tolerate poor soil and reasonable drought. Deadhead (pinch off spend blooms) to increase number of blooms throughout the summer.
