I was first introduced to the tamper by Monty Don, the popular gardening host of Gardener's World. He guaranteed a higher germination rate of small seeds by just lightly dabbling the soil with the tamper after sowing in seed trays, containers, and garden beds. This seed tamper makes a great Mother's Day gift or for a gardening friend. Made from FSC certified upcycled wood, it measures 3.75" in width and 8" in length.
